Tomas Garcia
Tomas Garcia is VP of Technology and Digital Media at the LACMA, guiding the digital vision of one of the nation’s pioneering arts institutions. In this capacity he leads the digital operations of a multi-generational and diverse workforce while materializing the groundwork for the future of technology in museums. He also oversees LACMA’s renowned Art + Technology Program, embedding him in the tenuous crossroads of artists working with technology corporations. He finds ongoing inspiration in the ability of artists to disintegrate presented intentions behind technology and innovation for reinterpretation as tools for expression of unique human perspectives.
